Data Centers

Data center companies have started to look at building in the eastern suburbs and cities. In smaller cities across the country, the big tech companies like Amazon and Meta have operated like demigods, commanding the local politicians to do their business. Plus, they have significant impacts on local resources. So local people are rising up up to oppose the rapid spread of these data centers.

Monterey Parkʻs (AD49) data center fight has been spearheaded by SGV Progressive Action. Learn more in their detailed overview and argument.

La Puente and Industryʻs (AD56) data center fights have been spearheaded by Avocado Heights Vaqueros.

CalCare

Sign the petition to tell Gavin Newsom to pass CalCare, which is Medicare for All for California. It would replace insurance companies with a single, state run insurance, which would cover everyone, all the time.
