These photos were taken with a Nikon Coolpix 2500, a low cost digital camera. It was modified by stacking a couple lenses on it. Photos were taken by pointing the lens upward, and placing objects on or above the lens. (To DIY, remember to turn the flash off, or you may fry it like I almost did.) The magnification is around 60x or so. It only tells me that I should look into a real 1000x microscope to get a look at unicellular organisms from my body.
