The new Google Search Console shows you what URLs were are causing 404 errors, and not in the index. A static archive of this old Drupal site worked okay, but I needed to redirect old URLs so they’d work again.
The new Google Search Console is awesome. It gives you a lot of details about problems on your site that will harm the Google indexing, and cause pages to be dropped from the index.
The saga continues. I haven’t finished it yet, but put all the code into functions, and started testing each.
